Personal Virtual Interpretation
Keeping Interpretation Personal While Going Virtual
Virtual conference session by Nikki Julien Rohde, Sept 2021 about the basics of how to give a program over virtual mediums, especially pre-recorded for Youtube, while keeping a personal touch. This video is an excellent resource for tour guides, park rangers, non-formal educators especially at recreational venues such as parks, zoos, aquariums, preserves, nature centers, historical places, and more! #personalvirtualinterpretation #iamaninterpreter #naturalresourceinterpretation #naturalresources #tourism #tourguides
Delivering an online program isn’t simply replacing the in-person experience with a recorded one. Though venues are now returning to in-person programming, we’ve also raised the bar on quality virtual programs that can bring in new audiences and connections we never experienced before.
This 45 min presentation was delivered at the Arizona Association for Environmental Education Virtual Conference in September 2021.
